Impractical Italian phrases for an Introvert/Unsocial

Still working on this page

Italians are famous for their passionate, warm and friendly personalities on top of their exuberant hand gestures that are a common part of every conversation. Most of the time, Italians genuinely like to know how each other are doing and many like to chat in excessive. They really really love talking.

Despite liking the language and also rather fond of the people as long as they don‘t corner me and get all chummy, there are times I would raise an eyebrow at the sentences that I encounters while learning. Being an introvert plus unsocial person, if we‘re alike in this matter, you‘d feel me as you read on.

Mi domando cosa pensano. (I wonder what they think.)

Unsocial: Why would I wonder about what other people think?

Dimmi perché l‘hai fatto. (Tell me why you did it.)

Unsocial: Do whatever you want.

Può dirmi dove va? (Can you tell me where you‘re going?)

Unsocial: Go wherever you like. I‘m not interested.

Vieni anche tu, no? (You‘re coming too, aren‘t you?)

Unsocial: Why should I ask? I‘ll find out later if I see you. On top of that, I highly doubt I‘d mind if you come or not.

Ti piace la cioccolata, vero? (You like chocolate, don‘t you?)

Unsocial: Why would I be interested in what other people like to eat?
